AM Limps South
The first of the AM units to head south to Wellington for a repaint, AM 144, attempted this journey on 2 August 2025. However due to a jammed parking brake which caused damage to a wheel set, the train ended up limping from Mercer to Te Rapa, where it terminated. We caught the train at just about every location from Pukekohe en route. 🗣️ Join the Rail NZ Discord server / discord 📖 Like us on Facebook / nzrailphotos 🦋 Follow us on Bluesky https://bsky.app/profile/nzrailphotos... 🐤 Follow us on Twitter / nzrailphotos 🟪 Follow us on Mastodon: https://mastodon.social/@nzrailphotos
