This gathering marks the anniversary of the Rodney King uprising that begun on Florence and Normandie Ave but also 47 years ago a fight amongst friends lead to the biggest civil war in South Los Angeles. Western Ave became the dividing lines between the R 60s on the West and the 8 Trays on the Eastside of Western Ave.. Today they're together enjoying family food and fun..
