Is It Worse To Be Hit Over The Head With A Full Or Empty Bottle? | MythBusters

Forensic scientists have claimed that getting hit over the head with an empty beer bottle is actually worse than being hit with a full one, which sounds completely backwards and is exactly the kind of counterintuitive myth that Adam and Jamie cannot leave alone, so they built a progression of increasingly sophisticated skull simulators — a basic dummy head with accelerometers, a jello brain model to measure concussion force, a simulated skull to test for fractures, and eventually a full meat head complete with artificial skin and blood to measure lacerations — and systematically smashed full and empty bottles against every single one of them to find out whether the forensic scientists had their science right or whether this is one of those myths that sounds clever and turns out to be completely backwards.
