On this highly auspicious full moon day of Jyeshtha month, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Sri Sudarshan are being escorted in a spectacular ceremonial procession to the elevated bathing platform (Snana Bedi). According to sacred temple codes, the deities will receive a grand royal bath using exactly 108 pitchers of herbal and aromatic water fetched from the sacred Suna Kua (Golden Well).
