MCC - 421 The Energy Dissolves

DISCLAIMER: These clips are presented for entertainment and general informational purposes only. Nothing shown is intended as instruction or encouragement to practice beyond viewing, enjoying, and reflecting on the material. Martial arts, like any rigorous physical activity, carry inherent risks of injury, which may be serious, disabling, or even fatal. Any techniques should be practiced only in a controlled environment that emphasizes safety, under the direct supervision of a qualified instructor you trust, and only after clearance from your personal physician. In working with the internal arts over the years, we were compelled to develop ways of managing and repositioning incoming energy. In practical terms, energy most often presents as force—biomechanical movement, pressure, and intent. Learning to manage it allows one to capture, empty, dissolve, redirect, or return that force, among countless other possibilities. Within those possibilities, we identified twelve predominant families of energetic response. Understanding these families goes a long way toward grasping the deeper mechanics of the internal arts—and what disciplined practice can make possible.
