The Kayoola Bus, manufactured by Kiira Motors in Uganda, is unique and in a class of its own because it is the first ever solar-powered means of public transportation in Uganda. An electric motor fuelled by Lithium-ion batteries powers the 35-seater bus and has a range of up to 80 kilometers on a single charge.
