Greylag - Black Sky :: Rockstone Sessions

This band of three from Portland sounds like folk, but spiced up with a touch of guitar. Better to be named ‘guitar-powered folk rockers’ (a reference already made, but totally spot on). So just when you’re about to compare them with a band like Fleet Foxes, their so called inspirational examples such as Crosby Stills & Nash, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac lingers through their music. Their self titled album was produced by Phil Ek (Band of Horses, The Shins, Modest Mouse) and is slowly winning over listeners all over the world already. For a good reason, because Greylag is just what rock music was missing nowadays!
