Rescued Otter Climbs Onto Man’s Kayak To Say “Hi” | Cuddle Buddies

This otter grew close to a man and now greets him every time he kayaks. Mats saved Leya when she was just a baby. From the start, she saw him as her dad – she loved snuggling with him on the couch and playing with his hands. Leya was so brave that she even became friends with two of Mats’ other rescues: a crow and a cat. But otters are still wild animals, so Mats had to teach her how to do “otter” things and eventually release her into the wild. As bittersweet as it is, Leya’s bond with Mats still warms his heart.
