Hack for Drilling Holes for Wooden Dowels in the Ends of Wood Rods

With the doweling jig we typically use to make dowel joints in particle board panels, we can also drill into narrow pieces. But when it comes to drilling into the ends of round wooden rods, where the hole must be perfectly centered, we need to make a simple jig that helps us hold the dowels properly and allows us to position the doweling jig reliably and repeatedly exactly where we need it, so we can drill a perfectly vertical and centered hole each time.
