Join us as we visit the beautiful Chirk Castle, near Wrexham in Wales, a National Trust property. This is the first stop off on Wales Easter Adventures. Chirk Castle was built by Sir Roger Mortimer in the late 13th Century and served as border fortress for over 300 years. In 1595 Sir Thomas Myddelton bought the castle with the intention of turning it into a grand family home. The Myddelton family owned the castle for over 400 years.
