After years of dreaming about seeing it in real life, we hit the road and drove out to Japan’s most iconic mountain — expecting crowds, chaos, and a quick photo stop… but what we found was something completely different. From quiet viewpoints with no one around, to lakeside mornings, playgrounds with insane views, swan boats, and way too much ramen… this ended up being one of our favourite travel days in Japan. And the craziest part? We barely had to share it with anyone.
