The tools that I’m going to be using today are very accessible price wise and open source on top of that. As hardware I’m going to be using the Cantact usb to can bus adapter, this is going to allow a computer and operating system to access and communicate on the CAN BUS. As software I’m going to be using Savvycan which is once again an open source GUI tool for hacking and reverse engineering CAN BUS data.
