Korg MS2000R | Factory Presets Preview Analog modeling synthesis In 2000, Korg introduced the MS2000 and MS2000R, the latter being a rack-mounted version of the MS2000. The MS2000 is a 44-key keyboard with modulation and pitch-bend wheels, two analog inputs and two analog outputs, all via 1/4" TRS connections and MIDI IN, OUT and THRU connections. Analog Modeling Synthesis The EGs (envelopes) are based on the familiar ADSR structure (attack, decay, sustain, release) and allow time-dependent influences on the sound. One of four waveforms can be assigned to the LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator), which is then available for the cyclical modulation of the sound parameters. The LFO can also be synchronized with MIDI clock signals. Two EGs and two LFOs are available for each sound (timbre). The MS2000 / MS2000R offers four types of filters: 12dB LPF (low pass), 24dB LPF, BPF and HPF. Resonance is also present and can be driven to self-oscillation. In addition to volume and pan parameters, the AmpBlock contains a distortion switch, with which you can turn even the tame sounds into wild solo beasts. Up to three effects can be used simultaneously: a modulation effect (ensemble, phaser or chorus / flanger), a delay (stereo delay, cross delay or L / R delay) and an equalizer. These can be set differently for each sound.
