Welcome aboard my first flight on a Twin Otter seaplane! Having had a fun day in Victoria, let's take you on a wonderful late afternoon and sunset flight! The Twin Otter is a development of the very successful DHC-3 Otter, a single engine piston or turboprop aircraft. It has two engines and a longer fuselage, straighter and taller tail, and an enlarged wing. From the steep runway at Lukla, Nepal, to the snow/ice-covered research base airports in Antarctica, to the super-short 400 m runway at Saba in the Caribbean, the STOL capabilities of the Twin Otter means that it is found all over the world with over 900 built.
