DCS F-100D Super Sabre A-4 Gunsight AUTO-BOMBING Mode Tutorial!

Hey guys! Today we are taking a look at the Automatic Bombing Mode of the AN/A-4 Gunsight in the F-100D Super Sabre, and actually in the F-86F Sabre as well. Even though it can take a ton of the guesswork and combing through scores of bombing tables out of the equation when it comes to delivering warheads on foreheads. Auto-Bombing really wasn’t used much by real F-100D Super Sabre pilots in the Skies of Southeast Asia. This was due to the unreliability and complexity of the sight itself and keeping it maintained in the harsh tropical environment of the South Vietnam Combined with the fact that many F-100 crews in Southeast Asia were both World War 2 and Korean War veterans who just didn’t trust this new fangled computer system. This was especially true when the lives of American boys down below were in their hands.
