Pa smo končno objavili prvi “resni” posnetek skupine, jiiiiiit🥳! Da pa malo obrazložimo kontekst te skladbe – na kratko je to pesem angleškega kantavtorja R. Thompsona, pa vendar je skozi leta postala še veliko več kot le to; pojavi se na sto in en način v sto in eni priredbi, kar ji dodaja značaj in vrednost prave ljudske glasbe. Pesem govori o ljubezenski poti med mladim fantom in dekletom, ki se na neki točki razcepi, namreč fant se želi ustaliti, dekle pa hoče ostati svobodna ptica. No, to privede do zgodbe o lepem dekletu, ki je želela biti svobodna, a na koncu pristane osamljena na ulici s steklenico viskija v roki, in o fantu, ki pogreša dekle, nežno in redko kot čebelje krilo (bee’s wing). Posnetek je nastal v sklopu našega koncerta na Kavč festivalu 2025 v Centru ponovne uporabe, Ljubljana. To give a bit of context to this song—it's originally by the English singer-songwriter R. Thompson, but over the years, it has become much more than just that. It appears in countless variations and covers, which add to its character and give it the value of true folk music. The song tells the story of a young man and woman whose love takes different paths. The young man wants to settle down, while the woman wants to remain a free spirit. This leads to a tale of a beautiful girl who longed for freedom but ultimately finds herself alone on the street with a bottle of whiskey in her hand, and of a young man who misses her—rare and delicate as a bee’s wing.
