FUNERAL: In Loving Memory Of Spencer Taylor Jr Highway QC Legend We are saddened to share the passing of Dr. Spencer Taylor Jr., lovingly known as “The Godfather.” He was a legendary figure whose voice, wisdom, and presence inspired generations. On September 5, 2025, at the age of 97, he transitioned from this life, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy in gospel music and beyond. His life’s work and faith touched countless hearts, and he will forever be remembered for his impact, strength, and love. The Taylor family invites all loved ones, friends, and supporters to join in honoring his life at the official Homegoing Celebration. Services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Southern Friendship Baptist Church, 4444 Branch Avenue, Temple Hills, MD. A public viewing will take place from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, followed by the Celebration of Life Service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with Pastor Tim Rogers delivering the eulogy. The service will also be live-streamed on YouTube for those unable to attend in person.
