One Thousand and One Nights | The Tale of Scheherazade

After executing his wife for an affair with a servant, Sassanid king Shahryar proceeds to marry a succession of virgins and execute them the following morning before they betray him. Soon, a brave and clever woman named Scheherazade marries the king, and delays her execution by telling the king stories at night, but omitting the ending to be told the following night. But once each story is finished a new one is begun. This becomes the frame story of the legendary "One Thousand and One Nights", or more commonly "The Arabian Nights"!
