From the quiet beauty of A’ershan to the vast openness of the Hulunbuir grasslands, this chapter takes us deeper into the heart of Inner Mongolia—where every mile reveals a new story. Our journey begins as we leave A’ershan behind, making scenic stops at Wusulagyu Lake and the striking Rose Peak. Arriving in Manzhouli, we explore its unique charm—from the colorful Matryoshka Hotel and theme park to the historic Guomen Border and the Beijiang Pearl Sightseeing Tower. Beyond the city, the grasslands unfold in their full grandeur. At the Barhu Mongolian Tribe Scenic Area, we experience a glimpse of nomadic culture and the spirit of the steppe. The highlight of our journey brings us to Hulun Lake (Dalai Lake)—the largest lake in Inner Mongolia and one of China’s great freshwater lakes. Here, the horizon disappears into water and sky, and time slows to a quiet stillness.
