We stayed in a CASTLE - Our Niagara Falls Road Trip! Amsterdam, NY, Erie Canal

Recently we went on a road trip to see the magnificent Niagara Falls (more to come on that) and on the way we spent a night in a CASTLE in New York! The Amsterdam Castle (https://amsterdamcastle.com/) was built in 1895 and served and a National Guard Armory for nearly 100 years before it was purchased and turned into a hotel. We came in at night so couldn't quite appreciate the full effect until the next day, but we had a family suite with FOUR king-sized beds and tons of space to relax! Too bad we only had one night there. We loved the interior decoration, with suits of armor displayed in the great hall, along with many photos and paintings related to the British Monarchy. There was additional memorabilia about the town of Amsterdam and kooky decorations! In the video we take a little tour of the castle's public areas and our room, then follow it with a quick look at a pedestrian bridge nearby that crosses the Erie Canal and heads into Amsterdam We had a great time here and would stay again any time!
