In this SAS How To Tutorial, Andy Ravenna discusses how to perform simple linear regression in SAS. Linear regression is used across a wide range of fields to help predict a continuous target variable, something like “sales,” for example. Input variables are used to help predict the target variable. In simple linear regression, only one input variable is used to predict the target variable. Andy begins by exploring the formula for linear regression. Then he discussed ordinary least squares regression, which is how the parameter estimates are calculated.
