RoboCop: the best movie of the 1980s (movie review & analysis)

In this video I take a look at one of the best movies of the 1980s, Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop from 1987, written by Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner. In what way does the technology of Robocop reflect the politics of the time? Technology plays a massive role in the movie, as of course it plays a massive role in neoliberal capitalism, which ultimately the movie is about. My focus in this video is the inevitable link between technology and politics, and how the movie's themes reflect this link. I hope you enjoy!
