Hidden in the Woods: Exploring the 1804 Eight-Arch Bridge of Bucks County

Join me on my second attempt to visit the historic Bridge Valley Bridge—also known as Pettit's Bridge or the Eight-Arch Bridge—tucked away in the woods of Warwick Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1804, this hidden gem spans Neshaminy Creek with eight graceful arches, each 27 feet long. Constructed of ashlar stone with rubble and dirt infill, it remained in vehicular use until 1970. Exploring this forgotten piece of history was truly an adventure to remember.
