GoPro Kayaking RAW: Grand Canyon of the Stikine River, Canada BC // Day 2/3

Day number 2 was the most exhausting and nerve racking day for me. The reasons for this were the first day of nervous paddling, the number of rapids and the fact that we have scouted a lot. We’ve put in around 11:30 am after walking down from camp one to our boats below the exit hole of Site Zed. The first rapid was big and good to wake up. After that, the river got easier but super fun Class IV. We were super nervous about „wall 1“ and the fact that we didn’t know when that rapid appears exactly. After scouting „wall 1“ on river left, I decided to run the sneak line on the right. On that point of the day felt mentally and physically really tired and was super relieved about that sneak line. The boys went for the action line and it was rowdy. After „Wall 1“ the Canyon opened up and the last big rapid before Camp arrived. We portaged the last hole of „Garden of the Gods I“ and felt super lucky and mindblown about the scenic landscape of the Camp that we reached around 5:30 pm.
