At Native Wings Like an Eagle Inc., our purpose is to establish community-centered solutions for Native men and women transitioning out of incarceration. We are proud to announce our participation in the Justice 250 Campaign, a national advocacy initiative presented by the Just Trust Foundation. This effort focuses on moving beyond recognizing systemic flaws and instead constructing durable, dignified support networks for the future. 📅 Save the Date: November Event As part of this initiative, Native Wings will host a special presentation this November of the landmark documentary by filmmakers Lynn Novick and Ken Burns. This screening will explore the vital themes of justice reform and collective safety, and we welcome all community members to join us in our cultural center for the viewing. ☀️ Supporting the Summer Fundraiser As we prepare for this event, we continue to progress toward our $300,000 summer goal. These resources allow us to effectively lower recidivism and mitigate homelessness by directly providing: 🏠 Housing & Stability: Assisting returning citizens with secure environments during the transition phase. 👕 Essential Supplies: Supplying necessary clothing, food, and basic necessities. 🚗 Transportation: Facilitating travel to essential appointments, employment opportunities, and cultural ceremonies. 💸 Economic Empowerment: Supporting members who create traditional crafts at our cultural center to earn direct personal income.
