Freehold Raceway Mall July 2026 update Von Maur construction begins. GAP returning to the mall

A July 2026 update on the ever successful Freehold Raceway Mall the Nordstrom that closed is being currently gutted out for Von Maur which is to open in the Fall of 2027. Also the Gap is coming back to the mall with a summer grand opening Freehold Raceway Mall opened on August 1,1990 and owned by Wilmorite. with Sears and Lord and Taylor. In 1991, JCPenny opened as anchor number 3, Nordstrom opened in 1992 as anchor 4 and Macy’s opened in 1998 after a projected A&S was suppose to come to the mall. A&S was phased out by Macy’s in 1995. A promenade was added in the mid 2000’s and water fountain removed as well as a new owner which is currently Macerich. Primark came into mall in 2014. The mall lost 3 anchors during the COVID 19 pandemic in Lord and Taylor, Nordstrom and Sears.in 2024 Dave and Busters and the Freehold athletic club opened in downstairs part of Sears. In November 2025, Dick’s house of sport opened in the former Lord and Taylor and Von Maur will be opening in the fall of 2027 on what used to be Nordstrom. Ț
