Romans 12:18 “18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” These verses summarize the heart of the Christian life. If we love someone the way Christ loves us, we will be willing to forgive. If we have experienced God’s grace, we will long for others to experience it as well. And remember, grace is undeserved favor. When we give a drink to an enemy, we are not excusing their mistakes. We acknowledge them, forgive them, and love the person despite their errors, just as Christ did with us. (Daily Living Bible Commentary)
