Welcome to our Odissi Dance Workshop Programme........ The idea to create a small world of Dance and Music is the Main aim to establish Avantika Academy of Cultural and Social Welfare in 2007 in order to popularise Odissi and also retain purity in the classical dance form. Founder, Director of Avantika Academy of Cultural and Social Welfare Dr.Manjushree Panda is One of the most distinguished Odissi Dancer of the present era, Characterized by her unique posture, lucid movement, facial expressions.Her remarkable expertise spans over 45 years in the realm over 19 years dedicated to Odissi Dance teaching.She is not only a nationally acclaimed 'A' Grade Artist of Sangeet Natak Academy & Doordarshan but also a scholarship and fellowship holder from ministry & HRD Govt of India.She has written 3 Books: 'THE MOKSHYA SUTRA', 'CINEMA NEW AUDIENCES NEW HORIZONS' AND 'CINEMA SAHITYA AUR SAMAJ'. National Cultural Festival, Anandini and Indiri Kriti samman hosted by Avantika Academy showcase Renowned artist all over India. The academy felicitates INDIRA KRITTI SAMMAN to Folk, instumental and classical artists from different parts of the country every year.This festival servers as a platform for cultural exchange and artistic collaboration enriching the dance landscape with diverse influences and perspectives. The other activities like Summer Camp and demonstration classes each year giving a chance to learn Kathak, bharatnatyam, Art, Music and craft to the Avantika students along with outer students.Besides learning they are also honoured different scholarship and fellowship from CCRT, Govt of india. The most important mission and vision of the academy is to educate and trained ODISSI DANCE to the socio-economic deprived childern and giving them chance to perform and crave a professional career.
