Exploring the Montréal Metro | Yellow Line
Welcome to another video! Today, We'll be exploring Montréal's shortest Metro Line, The Yellow Line. This is one of four metro lines in Montréal and is operated by STM (Société de transport de Montréal). Formerly referred to as Line 4, The Yellow Line has just three stops and covers a short distance of 4.25km (2.64mi). It travels between Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke and Berri-UQAM in Downtown Montréal with a single intermediate stop at Jean-Drapeau on St Helen's Island. The line opened in April 1967 and was built to transport passengers from Downtown to St. Helen's Island for Expo 67. This line still uses the second generation Bombardier MR-73's, Currently the oldest active car type in use on the Montréal Metro. This system is a bit unusual as the trains run on rubber tyres instead of the traditional steel wheels. Come along with me as we explore, and take a ride on Montréal's shortest metro line! Transit Agency: Société de transport de Montréal (STM) Line: Yellow Line (Line 4) - Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke to Berri-UQAM Class: N/A Fare: $4.50 CAD Date: October 8th, 2022 Music: Epidemic Sound Check Out Our Instagram Page! @travelingadventureswithdan Be Sure To Like And Subscribe!
