If We Were Villains Review - a better version of The Secret History? || thepretentiouspoet
SPOILER WARNING FROM: 15:48 - 17:05 . I raise my hand when the spoilers start, and lower it again when we are back in spoiler-free territory. My next dark academia-inspired book purchase was more than successful - in fact, I think it tops the precedent that The Secret History sets among the "students being morally ambiguous" book community! I very much enjoyed this book and so did some further reading around the author and her other endeavours. On my searches I found this article written by M.L. Rio about her other claim to fame - spending the night at Elsinore Castle on the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. I thought I would link it here in case anyone else fancies becoming exceedingly jealous of an author for being that cool (in a lame nerdy way). Let me know what you thought about this book if you've read it, but also let me know what you think about The Secret History and the general reading tastes of dark academia Instagram... ☆ The Time I Spent the Night in Hamlet’s Castle: https://lithub.com/the-time-i-spent-t... ☆ ➤ storygraph: https://app.thestorygraph.com/profile... ➤ instagram: / idobereadingtho ➤ ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/thepretentiouspoet
