Armature control method of a DC Shunt motor involves varying the voltage applied to the armature winding. This variation in armature voltage changes the speed of the motor. When the voltage applied to the armature winding is increased, the motor speed increases and when the voltage is decreased, the motor speed decreases, This method is commonly used in applications that require adjustable speed control.
