Have you ever noticed how easy it is to start something trusting in God… and, as time goes by, begin to act as if everything depended solely on you? That's exactly the reflection God brought to my heart in this devotional. In Zechariah 4:6, we find one of the most powerful statements in Scripture: "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty." Many times we begin by faith, but try to persevere by force. We take control, carry burdens that God never asked us to carry, and end up living weary lives.
