In my presentation, I explore alternatives to LangChain that offer improved reliability and control for building AI agents in data workflows. I examine frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, and OpenAI's Agent SDK, comparing their architectures and capabilities for data engineering and analysis tasks. Through practical demonstrations, I show how these frameworks enable AI agents to perform data exploration: automatically profiling datasets, calculating statistics and generating visualizations based on natural language requests.
