Valley of Fire State Park Scenic Drive - Full Route

We went to Las Vegas. Dazzling casinos, luxurious hotels, neon lights, and then we left - to Death Valley National Park, home to eerie slot canyons, incredible vistas, sand dunes and volcano craters - to the Valley of Fire with its multi colored pastel sandstone formations and canyons - to the western Grand Canyon for its spectacular views, a helicopter descent and a lovely pontoon ride on the Colorado River. We explored the Mojave, with its dense Joshua Tree forests, massive singing sand dunes and underground lava tubes brimming with light, through the Black Canyon near Lake Mead where we kayaked green waters to the Emerald Cave, to visit remnants of the old Wild West in historic ghost towns and abandoned gold mines hidden in the mountains, hikes along the towering sandstone peaks at Red Rock Canyon, on horses and driving its 13 mile scenic route.
