In this oil painting demo for Painted Florida, I paint a peaceful Florida beach scene filled with golden clouds, rolling waves, sea oats, and the soft coastal light that makes the Gulf Coast so timeless. This painting is about more than simply recording a place. It’s about capturing the feeling of standing near the water as the sky warms, the surf moves in quiet rhythm, and the sea oats bend in the breeze. Florida has a way of turning an ordinary moment into something poetic, and that is what I try to bring into my oil paintings.
