Why This Page Became a WIP | WIPs Without Worry Episode 4
Hello everyone 🤍 Welcome to or welcome back to another episode of WIPs Without Worry, the series where I pull a random a number of a work-in-progress from the bowl and spend some time adding a little colour—without any pressure to finish the page. This week's WIP got me thinking about something many of us can probably relate to: 🎨 Colouring mood versus colouring plans. At the beginning of the month, I usually have all sorts of wonderful intentions. There are challenge prompts to complete, hashtags to join, buddy colours to enjoy, and books I'm determined to spend more time in. And then my colouring mood arrives... and has completely different ideas. It’s like it has never even watched the plans video lol. In today's cosy colouring session, I chat about: Why some pages become WIPs in the first place The excitement of making colouring plans Why our creative interests change throughout the month How unfinished pages often reflect changing moods rather than failure The joy of returning to a page when the timing finally feels right One of the things I've been learning through this series is that WIPs aren't something that need fixing. Sometimes they simply tell the story of a colourist whose interests, energy, and inspiration have shifted along the way. And that's perfectly okay. After all, the goal of WIPs Without Worry isn't to finish every page. It's simply to add a little colour and enjoy the journey. 💛 I'd Love to Hear From You Are you a colouring planner or a colouring mood person? Do you carefully follow your monthly plans, or do you find yourself wandering off towards completely different books and pages once the month gets underway? And what usually causes a page to become a WIP for you? I'd love to hear from you, so let me know in the comments below. I always enjoy hearing about your colouring adventures and discovering that I'm not the only one whose colouring mood occasionally ignores the schedule! 😅🎨 If you enjoy cosy colouring chats, random WIP selections, progress over perfection, and relaxing colouring sessions, I'd love for you to join me.
