Van life through Tohoku's incredible fall scenery | Japan travel vlog I'm currently chasing the fall colors as they migrate south, so I took the ferry back to Tohoku, the most northern region on Japan's main island. The first stop is Aomori prefecture, where I visit one of the holiest sites in all of Japan, and some incredible fall landscapes. After a good week in Aomori, I drove further south to Akita prefecture, which has some of Japan's best-kept secrets.
