SEVERN BRIDGE PARKRUN REVIEW Event #209 - Bridging England and Wales! Severn Bridge Parkrun! Starting in Monmouthshire, Wales, on the Wye Bridge Section of the old Severn Bridge, the route is an out and back course. The run takes you across the national border into England, and into the counties of Gloucestershire and Avon, before bringing you back into Wales. The course is run entirely on concrete paths. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain! Join me as I provide an in-depth review of my Severn Bridge Parkrun experience. Severn Bridge parkrun starts in Monmouthshire, Wales, on the Wye Bridge Section of the old Severn Bridge, the route is an out and back course over the beautiful Severn Bridge. The run takes you across the national border into England, and into the counties of Gloucestershire and Avon, taking in breathtaking scenery of Wales and England either side of the Severn Estuary, before bringing you back into Wales. Dogs are prohibited from this parkrun, however, buggies / prams are allowed. Unfortunately, there are no public toilets close to the start / finish area. The route is run entirely on concrete paths, therefore, road shoes are reccomended. In terms of how busy the parkrun is, it is a fairly busy parkrun, and it is very difficult to overtake so make sure you stand near the front if you are going for a PB. There are on average 242 runners/joggers/walkers a week. Due to course being fairly flat, there is a chance for a pb, however, you must get near the ront or you will be held back! The atmosphere was great and there were some great volunteers to keep you going! Every Saturday I take part in a 5K run trying my hardest to get under 20 mins. evern Bridge Parkrun is a great run to tick off the "S" on the alphabeteer challenge and it is the second "S" I have done!
