Rutas Basura Cero: región de Magallanes, Chile
Fundación Lenga takes us to the southernmost region of Chile, where we begin our journey at Compost Coiron and learn about their organic waste management project. There, they also explain how tourism is contributing to the collapse of the Puerto Natales municipal landfill. In Punta Arenas, we visit the Puro Viento textile lab, a reuse initiative that utilizes textile waste and large-format advertising banners to create items such as backpacks and pencil cases. Finally, we arrive in Puerto Williams to learn more about the municipal waste management initiative.
