Recently, Kate, the godmother of our two kids, brought her 4-year-old son Mumu to the United States from China to study. We found great differences between Mumu and Yanyan, two boys in the same grade, and many of these differences can be attributed to differences in parenting styles. Mumu was raised in China, Yanyan was raised in the United States, Mumu was raised mainly by his grandparents, and Yanyan was raised by two dads. In this video, we invite godmother Kate to chat with us on this topic, discuss how parenting styles affect kids' personality and behavior, and finally share the gains and feelings of the three-week study tour.
