2026 Ocean Awareness Contest - Art can get tired

Hello!! My name is Alice, now I'm 16 years old and my main goal is to become a director in the future. I've been making business cards, short videos and trailers for various contests for a long time, and the Ocean Awareness Contest has become a new discovery for me! Of course, I chose to make a movie. Initially, I wanted to try myself in a new genre, and create a stop motion. But when I was flying on a plane to the sea, I realized that I wanted something more dynamic! I always draw inspiration from my native things, and this time I was inspired by my little homeland - the Udmurt Republic. Also important things for me in this project were Alexander Belyaev's book "Amphibian Man" and the film "Knocking on Haven’s Door". Studying the topic of the competition I was surprised that the winds from the Atlantic Ocean reach my region! Sounds just amazing! The main purpose of my work was to confess my feelings to the ocean, but the most important message I want to convey through the film is the cry of the soul about environmental problems. People should think more about the environment, it is important to realize the scale of the problem, be horrified and understand that we are losing our guardian: our climate, our economy, our health, our art. Our ocean.
