The number of listings in this area has dropped by more than half, from over 3,500 last February to around 1,600 as of the 22nd. This is a large apartment complex in Songpa-gu with approximately 6,800 households. When I asked a nearby real estate agency to look for a Jeonse unit with an exclusive area of ​​84 square meters—the most preferred size—they replied that there were no listings available. Once, some elderly people in their 80s came. [The landlord flatly refused.] As Jeonse leases have become scarce, landlords are not only raising prices but are also becoming selective about the tenants they accept. As the Jeonse crisis becomes a reality, tenants' concerns are deepening. I am a person in my 30s living on a Jeonse lease in an apartment in Pungnap-dong, Songpa-gu. I have exercised my right to renew the lease and am currently looking for a new place to move to after living here for four years; however, the Jeonse price for the same apartment and same size has risen by over 100 million won since the initial contract.
