This Woodshed Idea Actually Worked!

It’s cold, wet, and way too late in the season to still have firewood sitting on the ground. In this video, I get back on the woodshed and focus on what matters most right now — finishing the roof structure so the wood can finally stay dry. Before that, I do a little much-needed equipment maintenance, get the John Deere mower running right again, and take a look at how much rain we’ve had and how much the property is changing. From there, it’s all woodshed. I work out the roof height, cut and notch the posts and beams, figure out the slope, support the long span properly, and build in the center hallway walls that will carry the load and keep this thing from ever collapsing under snow. By the end, the structure is level, supported, and finally looking like a real woodshed that can handle the weather. I’m Tdog, and this is Sophie and Molly — we spend our days building, exploring, and making this place a little better all the time. What about you? Getting this woodshed finished is a huge step, because once the firewood situation is handled properly, everything else around the cabin gets a whole lot easier. #OffGridLiving #WoodshedBuild #CabinLife #HomesteadProjects #OffGridCabin #DIYBuild #RuralLife #PropertyProjects #HomesteadLife #CanadianHomestead
