Absolute Encoder Read By An Arduino
This is a quick demonstration of how an Arduino can read an absolute encoder for determining a shaft position without homing.. The encoder phototransistors ground the "pulled up" input pins to create a signal. Once the signal is created, it needs to be inverted then converted to binary.
