“Noi infermieri del domani”, video per la promozione della professione tra i giovani

There comes a moment when a choice begins to take shape. It's not yet a decision, but it becomes possible, concrete, real. This is what happened to the students who participated in the "We Nurses of Tomorrow" project, a collaboration between the Modena University Hospital, the Modena Local Health Authority, the Sassuolo Hospital, and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Thanks to video interviews with nurses and field experiments, these young people were able to experience for the first time a profession often only known from the outside... and which actually offers so much more. Through high-fidelity simulations, hands-on activities, an escape room, and moments of direct interaction with professionals and teachers, they experienced what caring really means: skills, technology, responsibility, but also listening, empathy, and connection. They listened to real stories. Life and work journeys that combine science and humanity. And they began to imagine themselves in that role. Because today, being a nurse means being at the center of a changing, evolving healthcare system that requires increasingly trained and knowledgeable professionals. It means being a point of reference for people, in hospitals and in the community, during the most delicate moments of their lives. This day wasn't just an open house. It was an opportunity to break down stereotypes, to look closely at reality, and to discover the depth and value of a profession built on competence, responsibility, and humanity. And perhaps, for some, it was also the beginning of a choice.
