Welcome to my painting corner of YouTube! I’m so glad you’re here creating with me. I’ve been an elementary art teacher since the early 2000s, and for over a decade I also taught paint-and-sip classes, guiding people step by step while reminding them that art is meant to be fun, not perfect. When Covid changed the way we connected, I started this channel as a way to keep people creating together, even while apart. My goal is to make painting approachable, relaxing, and a little bit joyful—no matter your experience level. For today’s painting, I’m working on an 11x14 canvas panel. The brushes I use are a 1” flat brush, along with round brushes in sizes 10, 6, and 1. I’m using heavy body acrylic paints in the following colors: red, pink, orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue, teal, purple, brown, white, and black. Feel free to swap colors, adjust sizes, or make it your own. This is your painting journey—so relax, have fun, and let’s get started.
