✠[EN/DE]✠ Wilde Gesellen

Song (Fahrtenlied) composed in 1927~ by Fritz Sotke. It is oriented towards the Lansquenets, and exalts with a peculiar mixture of optimism, will and misery the most characteristic features of these military units: vulgarity of fashion (their clothing being "brute" as well as luxurious and expensive); military philosophy and sentiment; and brief reflection on the destiny/mission of any soldier. However, it has a wild/festival/animated musical essence, which shows acceptance and optimism towards this life they are entrusted with. I have tried to accompany the musical composition with artistic works that express the scenes as faithfully as possible to the meaning of the verses. I must point out that, although this also happens in the rest of the songs, I have translated this song in a somewhat free way: it is still rigorous, and the ideas are still the same, but in some details (word order, direct meanings, etc...) I have not followed a totally literal translation. Keep this in mind if you analyse the lyrics word by word. The reason for this is to create some coherence, fluidity and beauty in the Spanish lyrics. • Fahrtenlied, komponiert 1927~ von Fritz Sotke. Es ist auf die Landsknechte ausgerichtet und verherrlicht mit einer eigentümlichen Mischung aus Optimismus, Willen und Elend die charakteristischsten Merkmale dieser Militäreinheiten: vulgäre Kleidung (die sowohl "geschmacklos" als auch luxuriös und teuer ist), militärische Philosophie und Gefühle und kurze Überlegungen zum Schicksal/zur Aufgabe eines jeden Soldaten. Es hat jedoch eine wilde/festliche/animierte musikalische Essenz, die Akzeptanz und Optimismus für das Leben, das ihnen anvertraut wird, zeigt. Ich habe versucht, die musikalische Komposition mit künstlerischen Arbeiten zu begleiten, die die Szenen so getreu wie möglich dem Sinn der Verse wiedergeben.
