The $1.4 Trillion Question: What it takes to power North America through 2052
North America’s energy demand is poised for rapid growth, driven by data centers, LNG exports, AI and industrial expansion, making energy infrastructure the critical constraint. USEA and The INGAA Foundation will provide a briefing on its new Midstream Infrastructure Report, which examines infrastructure needs across natural gas, NGL, oil, CO₂ and emerging hydrogen systems through 2052, finding that meeting demand will require $1.2-$1.4 trillion in total midstream investment, including roughly 37,000 miles of new natural gas transmission infrastructure and over 100,000 miles of added gathering infrastructure.
