Elephants, Khanyisa & Timisa Spend Time with their Foster Moms ☀️

Wake up to a sunrise at the homestead and orphanage! We are preparing Khanyisa for the move to the homestead— to hopefully take place this month, as the calf currently enjoys her very last few mornings, evenings and nights beside Lammie & Nungu and her dedicated carers in the nurseries. This morning she plays and chews on a root delivery while later in the heat of the day, she and her adoptive mother, Lundi and Timisa and her foster mom, Tokwe, bond in the shade of a tree. This is precious time together, as the females rely on one another for survival. Later, it’s off to the waterhole the herd go!
