Matchbox Fighting Furies pirate figures and Adventure sets from the 1970's

More of my small vintage toy collection. This time we have the Pirates from Matchbox's Fighting Furies range and the 6 original Adventure sets which comprise clothing and accessories. I remember this range of toys from my childhood very well. They were such great toys to play with and I am so happy to have been able to collect these again now. The range ran from 1974 to 1979 or so here in the UK but only lasted for 2 years in the US ('74 - '76). The range also later added cowboys and Indians as well as the pirates, but I don't remember seeing this back in the day. The figures have a fighting action right arm which is worked from a button in the left side of the torso. They are surprisingly well made and many survive in good working order, although the limbs have always been a bit' floppy' on these These are great figures that bring back so many childhood memories for me.
